Company Line: Jimmy Wayne has weathered emotional abuse and real violence. He has worked (as a child) to earn money for his mother while she was in prison. He has lived in the open and subsisted on his wits in order to eat from day to day.
None of this stopped him, and today, he looks toward a future full of hope. Because he’s also sung on the “Grand Ole Opry,” opened for Charlie Daniels before 7,000 new fans and delivered a debut album, Jimmy Wayne that’s sure to inspire all who believe in the power of song.
The Good:
“Stay Gone” – Wayne writes this track and you can truly tell he feels everything he sings.
“Paper Angels” – A very sad song about the days when Wayne was poor and hoped he’d get a Christmas from the Salvation Army. It’s almost painful to listen to but you can’t help but get swept up in the mood and want to help.
“The Rabbit” – A song about his mother being stabbed. It can get painful to listen to.
The Marginal:
“You Are” – A sexy ballad.
“I Love You This Much” – Boy Wayne can really make you want to cry. This is a track about meeting is father for a moment when he was a kid.
“Just A Dream” – This track is about having a dream where you’ve lost someone you love. You wake up and you’re thankful that it was just a dream, but you’ve learned something. Interesting especially when most of us can relate.
“Trespassin’” – A song decent track about the excitement of love and danger and should get you out of your seat.
The Ugly:
Nothing.
Frankly: Jimmy Wayne takes his life as snapshots and puts them to song. He has a knack for making you feel what he feels. You’ll get a chill from these songs. Wayne is one to watch. There is a lot of inspiration to be had by all.
