Anticipation continues to build for the U.S. release of TRAVELLING LIKE THE LIGHT, the debut full-length from the warm-voiced, strikingly visual singer-songwriter V V BROWN. Starting February 2, her single “Shark In The Water,” which the New York Post describes as “so crazy catchy that it’d make Kelly Clarkson green with envy,” will be iTunes Single of the Week.

Also beginning February 2, TRAVELLING LIKE THE LIGHT will be available exclusively on iTunes. The physical version of the album will arrive in stores and at other outlets on March 30. The original music of V V BROWN has been praised as “a perfect pop cocktail” (The Sun) and “Spector-ish pop as slick as her black pompadour… her vocal shines through every track” (Elle).

The video for “Shark In The Water,” which showcases the 25 year-old singer’s strong personality and modern twist on vintage style, is making waves now on VH1 Soul, Centric TV, and Logo’s “NewNowNext PopLab.” Other songs by the breakout star have already been aired via high-profile network and cable TV shows: “L.O.V.E.” features prominently in a current promotion for “Cougar Town”; “Back In Time” was heard in the third episode of CW’s top-rated new series The Vampire Diaries as well as CSI: NY; “Crying Blood” in 90210; and “Everybody” in a promo spot for ABC’s Desperate Housewives.

Following a year’s worth of continuous praise from her home base in the U.K., echoed by enthusiastic plaudits from Stateside media tastemakers (“We LOVE love LOVE her first U.S. single, “Shark in the Water,” cheers Perez Hilton), V V BROWN will give U.S. audiences a bigger taste of her talents with her premiere North American live shows, which begin January 29 in Los Angeles. In addition to previously announced dates, her visit to the U.S. has been extended with an additional show in Boston, MA on February 22.

Since the European release of her self-written and co-produced album in 2009, V V has made dozens of impressive appearances on television, in online posts, and on the live festival stage. In the U.K. and Europe, V V has performed with The Ting Tings, Ladyhawke, Femi Kuti, and Antony & the Johnsons, among others, and was the only new artist tapped to play the main stage at the 2009 Glastonbury festival.
