The 25 year-old singer has already been tantalizing American eyes and ears for months. Many of her songs have already been aired via high-profile network and cable TV shows: “L.O.V.E.” features prominently in a new promotion for “Cougar Town”; “Back In Time” was heard in the third episode of CW’s top-rated new series The Vampire Diaries as well as CSI: NY; “Crying Blood” in 90210; “Shark in The Water” in MTV’s The City; and “Everybody” in a promo spot for ABC’s Desperate Housewives.
U.S. print and online media have fallen for the vivacious entertainer, too. On the heels of early features in WWD, Teen Vogue, and Interview—plus kudos from Perez Hilton and the Los Angeles Times’ “Pop & Hiss” blog—look for V V in forthcoming issues of Bust, Paper, Glamour, Spin, Marie Claire, Nylon, and YRB.
Since the European release of her self-written and co-produced album in 2009, V V has made dozens of impressive appearances on television, in online posts, and on the live festival stage. In the U.K. and Europe, V V has performed with The Ting Tings, Ladyhawke, Femi Kuti, and Antony & the Johnsons, among others, and was the only new artist tapped to play the main stage at the 2009 Glastonbury festival.
