Luke opens with the announcement, “I have no one to answer to,” but I think he is overestimating himself because if this one stinks like his last release then he might have to hang up the mic.
“Roll Wit Luke” isn’t entirely bad as you roll through a host of mc’s. “Holla” is just ass and not the kind Luke would like. Maybe I’m older and not as easily amused as I once was, but “Suck This Dick” just isn’t funny and it sure isn’t entertaining. Snoop Dogg brings his skills to the terrible “Hoes”. Then we find Luke running out of ideas as he revives “Fat Girls” and then totally rips “Whoomp! (There It Is)” with his completely lame “The Show”. Even more embarrassing is that Luke inspired the Miami sound and here he is covering it.
I used to think that Luke had some talent, but Something Nasty is worse than even the title suggests. I think Luke has been spending too much time on the golf course because this album is nothing but a second rate cover album.
