When the Orlando, Florida quartet called C Note released their debut album, Different Kind Of Love, the music-buying public learned what a growing legion of fans have known for the past year: C Note is simply one of the hottest new vocal groups on the hyper-competitive music scene, bringing a sensual Latin flavor to their blend of pop, dance, and R&B sounds.

All in their early 20’s, C Note combines a sexy, athletic look with an abundance of stage, vocal, and dance skills. In the course of their debut album, the bilingual foursome moves easily from English to “Spanglish,” from soulful a capella harmonies to alluring R&B sounds and explosive dance numbers.

Among the highlights from Different Kind of Love are “Wait ‘Till I get Home,” written and produced by veteran hip-hop hitmakers Full Force and included in both English and Spanish versions; and C Note’s cover of “I Like,” the 1989 hit by Guy, with its clever sample from KC & the Sunshine Band’s “That’s The Way (I Like It).” On the love side, C Note excels on the blissful bedroom ballads “One Night With You,” “Right Next to Me,” and another fine Full Force production, “My Heart Belongs To You.”

Brody, Raul, and David began working together as a trio when two other members of their previous vocal group left the act. They brought along Dru to perform with them at a local talent show, where their victory brought them to the attention of Trans Continental Records, the music and marketing force behind Backstreet Boys and NSYNC.

Ninteen-ninety eight marked a turning point for C Note. When not rehearsing their stage show or cutting tracks for their debut album, the guys were performing on stages across the country–and thrilling fans of all ages and genders with their hot, high-energy stagecraft and passionate vocals. Long before the release of their album, C Note had appeared in the pages of Time, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, and Entertainment Weekly, and been feature on Fox News and MTV.

No wonder Time said that “many in the music industry are expecting big things” from C Note and Different Kind of Love. Now watch them go!
