CORPORATE LINE: This release contains the entire fourth season of the television series that was based on Luc Besson’s French action classic of the same name. Peta Wilson returns as the beautiful heroine, who is once again forced to be a governmental pawn against her wishes. Using her cunning and intelligence, Nikita finds new ways to outwit her tormentors. Twenty-one episodes are included.
THE REVIEW: The main reason guys love La Femme Nikita is because of Nikita. The fact that Nikita wears sexy little outfits while kicking ass is as sexy as any action show. La Femme Nikita is the precursor to Alias. Some of the show’s best episodes are “Man in the Middle” in which Nikita marries only to find out her husband isn’t what she expected in “Love, Honor and Cherish”. The show also takes many different turns as Nikita his offered her freedom in “No One Lives Forever”. Finally, the finale, set up over three episodes, is a powerful way to go out as Nikita discovers her true importance to section.
THE EXTRAS: There are two sets of commentaries. The first features director Brad Turner and actor Eugene Robert Glazer on the episode “Time to Be Heroes”. The second commentary features writer Peter Lenkov and actor Eugene Robert Glazer on the episode “Sympathy for the Devil”. Finally, there is a canceled scene with commentary by Christopher Heyn and a gag reel.
FRANKLY: La Femme Nikita’s final season is great fun. Fans will enjoy season four while those who have never seen the show will want to start with season one.
