I love a good sci-fi flick. Let me backtrack a little. I love a good sci-fi flick and The Time Machine is not that!
From the novel by H.G. Wells comes The Time Machine, which features Guy Pearce thrown into a starring role as inventor Alexander Hartdegen. So Mr. Inventor builds himself a time machine after the loss of his wife and shoots about a million years into the future. And what does it look like so far into the future? Something like the Survivor set in Bedrock. The film is dead in the water, stagnant and such a slow grinding rapid pace that even my eyes were bored. For a film that seems to boast such phenomenal imagery how can it be so lame?
