Meredith Brooks has had one weird career. She had a huge hit with “Bitch”, then her next record came out with much anticipation and radio all but ignored what was a damn good album. Now Brooks releases Bad Bad One on a smaller label. So how does it sound?
Not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good:
“Pain” – Finally, we get inside of her head.
“Where Lovers Meet” – A touching ballad.
“Shine” and “Stand” – All heart and soul.
Between both bads:
“Crazy” – Are we crazy? Or just different? Different is good.
“Bad Bad One”
Bad:
“Pleasure” – Doesn’t go anywhere and is almost painful.
