My Boss’s Daughter

My Boss's Daughter
Cast: Ashton Kutcher, Tara Reid, Carmen Electra, Andy Richter, Molly Shannon
Studio: Touchstone
Rating: 3/10

Corporate Line: When his mean boss asks him to housesit, a young man (Kutcher) tries to use it as an opportunity to win the heart of his boss’s daughter (Reid), on whom he has long had a crush. What he doesn’t plan on is the long line of other houseguests that come along in the meantime…

The Good: If you can make it through the whole movie you’ll laugh. It’s not really worth waiting 86 minutes for a few laughs.

The Bad: There is nothing funny about this script or the actors. It’s hard to tell which is more painful to deal with. Imagine now that you have to deal with both bad acting and a bad script. Kutcher is funny on television but it just doesn’t translate here. Reid is completely flat and Molly Shannon is way to over the top.

Extras: Outtakes, Behind-The-Scenes Special — “A Look Behind MY BOSS’S DAUGHTER”, and Tara Reid’s Audition. None are particularly striking. You’ll do well to skip these.

Frankly: If you absolutely have to watch Ashton Kutcher than rent it, if you don’t just skip it.
