Idle hands are the devil’s workshop. That is what Anton Tobias (Devon Sawa) discovers when he wakes up Halloween morning. The thoughtless teen, only interested in porn and dope and clueless to the world around him, he discovers that a murderer is on the prowl in his hometown. Worried because he has not seen his parents, he shockingly reveals that his parents have been turned into their Halloween dcor.

With the help of his irresponsible friends, Mick (Seth Green) and Pnub (Elden Henson), Anton is brought to the realization that his hand has a mission of its own. Regardless of his restraints, the hand will not stop until its evil mission is fulfilled.

Molly (Jessica Alba) is his childhood crush and sex idol from next door. She finds herself attracted to the new obtrusive Anton and wants him to escort her to the Halloween dance. Anton desperately tries to resolve this problem before the dance by seeking the advice of the most evil person he knows, his neighbor, Curtis. Despite Curtis’ rejection, Anton finally persuades him to share with him his wisdom: the devil will find work for idle hands.

Unable to keep his hands occupied, he decides to destroy the evil by cutting his hand off. To his dismay, the hand is loose to finish the killing spree and take an innocent soul to eternal damnation at midnight. After traveling the west in search of the evil in the possessed hand, Debbie (Vivica A. Fox) teams up with Curtis and steps in with the solution to rid the evil forever.

Idle Hands is a black comedy that is full of gory and gruesome scenes. If you like blood and guts, T&A, and a few good one-liners by his wasted sidekicks, then you’re sure to enjoy the show.
