CORPORATE LINE: It’s Crime Fighting Time!
The square-jawed, tough-talking animated program C.O.P.S. aired every weekday afternoon in the ’80s. With its dead-on action and humor, it became an instant hit, launching a popular line of action figures, vehicles and gadgets, as well as inspiring its own comic book. Now, the cult favorite is back and, sure to whet fan’s appetites, features 22 original episodes packed with special features!
THE REVIEW:
C.O.P.S. is goofy. Every episode ends with the obvious criminal being caught and locked up in jail as a lesson to the kids who were watching. It’s a good message—however most of the schemes are insane and not something that ever happens in real life so it mixes messages.

FRANKLY: The worst part of C.O.P.S. is the rougher animation than the other cartoons of the time. The topics weren’t really timely—however the message is clear and good for kids. I can’t imagine kids finding any interest watching this today with cartoons on television every day that are better and have more timely messages.
