The Film Studio Says: A little older and a little wiser, sophomores Buffy, Willow and Oz are back for another year at UC Sunnydale. As if battling Dracula, grotesque
space creatures and monster trolls are not enough, Buffy must deal with love and loss in
the “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” Season Five DVD Collection, arriving on December 9 from
Fox Home Entertainment. Featuring all 22 episodes from the fifth season, the “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” Season Five DVD Collection is jam-packed with exclusive bonus features including seven featurettes, which provide an in-depth look at the characters, stunts, demons and casting of “Buffy.” Available as a collectible six-disc set, the DVD collection also includes audio commentaries by series creator Joss Whedon and others, scripts for several episodes, photo galleries, series outtakes, and much more.
The Show: This year we open with Buffy meeting Dracula. Great episode as Zander falls under his spell but not before wondering “do you think he knows Frankenstein?” The one-liners are why we come but the scary is why we stay.
Dawn becomes a major figure in the show and it adds another dimension to a show that was lacking dimensions since Angel left. We delve deeper into Buffy’s family and not the usual stake and run. Well sort of – there is still a lot of that thankfully.
Spike becomes more involved in the show and it’s really interesting. Buffy wants something more than just pissing the vamp off. Spike isn’t the only one that takes center stage – Willow gets all ‘magic-y’.
It’s the killing that brings us, but again the laughs rule. Then you always have Zander talking about Dracula and his “dark master – bater.”

Frankly: Season five is a great season. Each episode makes you watch the next – thankfully you’ll buy the DVD so you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Could we just have a little more Willow and black magic?
