Look: This is the sonic we all remember. It looks familiar and feels like home. The colors are bright and lush. The runways are back and Sonic still looks lovely. It rolls at a good 60 FPS in 3D. Impressive. The water effects are strong and it looks realistic. This might be one of the better looking games on the market.
Feel: Sonic is a team environment. You can have different partners and that makes for an interesting interaction. A tutorial will get you started and allow you to learn on the job.
Once you pick a team you control each-all with their own special skills and abilities. The controls aren’t impossible and once you get used to them you’ll find them to be very free flowing.
There are many different moves that can be completed by each team member. Remember team work is a must. Don’t get locked down trying to do it with just one character because you’ll need each to complete certain tasks. Even better is when you have to use all of your team to fly and link as one.
Hear: Bad soundtrack that reminds me of the first Sonics. The sound effects are crips-again they aren’t really all that fantastic. Maybe they just sound better because of how bad the soundtrack is.
Frankly: After the previous Sonic releases there was no hope that Sonic could come back out of the flamed franchise. Sonic Heroes gives renewed hope that the franchise can be saved.
