State Of Emergency is the kind of game you want to come home to after a bad day. As violent as this game is its much better to take your anger out on some polygon rather than a friend or worse someone you don’t know.
Look: Most will noticed the graphics look cartoony. Even saying that,sounds bad but I can honestly say they are quite good nonetheless and the characters look interesting. But the more people you add to the screen at a time the graphics tend to get less detailed. And what is up with those weapons? They are huge!
Feel: You’ve got two choices Revolution and Chaos. Revolution was pretty boring. After about a half hour of the Revolution you’ll find you are switching over to Chaos.
Chaos is fun, actually its insane! Snapping necks and blowing away the crowd is sick, but sick has never been this much fun has it?
The fighting is simple enough and you’ve seen it before. I hated figuring out the weapons and trying to fire them. It’s a pain in the ass. Oh and don’t shoot the innocent people.
Hear: Screams of chaos is all you really hear, well and the occasional explosion. Otherwise the soundtrack isn’t exactly worth going on about.
Frankly: Try revolution first so that you can appreciate the chaos. Honestly without two player State Of Emergency has limited appeal. After a good ten hours I’m not sure I can find another reason to play SOE, well unless you cut me off on the freeway!
