Namco Museum has six games on one disc. Sounds great, right? Well, that’s up to you. The six games are oldies, but not such goodies. Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pole Position, Galaga, Galaxian, and Dig-Dug are the six games you have to choose from.
Look:
The games are from the ’80’s and come from the origins of video game consoles. I’m sure everyone can recall what Pac-Man looks like. It looks exactly the same here. I’m glad to see the amazing games of today. I’m nostalgic, but those games that were cool then are ugly now.
Feel:
Hmmm. I’m not sure what to tell you about this. Not much action really.
Hear:
Chuga-chuga-chuga. Remember what it sounded like when Pac-Man got caught? Well, almost two decades later that sound still drives me crazy.
Finally:
Namco Museum was a good thought. I’m sure someone somewhere has a lot of memories and wanted another shot at the high score in Pac-Man or Galaxian . Not me. I could play each game only once. I tried again hours later and it was the same. It just bored me to tears. It might be cool to show your kids how crappy the games were back in the day, but gamers are beyond this type of play now and will find it hard to be interested in it when they have many amazing new games staring them right in the face.
