Race your inch-long miniature motors on the wildest tracks, where everyday household objects appear immense in size and can become lethal hazards. Let loose with sport cars, street racers, stock cars, 4x4s, beach buggies, lowriders and muscle cars — just some of the hundreds of vehicles you can race on improvised tracks around the Micro Machines house, garden and – for the first time – beyond!
PLAY: The best thing about Micro Machines V4 is the massive amount of cars available. There are 750 cars total and that is amazing. There aren’t many video games in existence that can boast that many cars—or even come close. The cars come in many different types or classes with a massive amount of challenges.
Each car has a different rating for speed, grip, etc. but a lot of them feel very similar. The only real difference is the larger vehicles with the lower speed rating end up feeling exceedingly slow and clunky. MMV4 is a simplified racing game where it’s all speed all the time. The coolest thing is that these are miniature cars so they don’t run on regular race tracks—they zoom through homes, etc. and that is a cool concept.
GRAPHICS: The cars aren’t much to look at—in fact it’s something you’d expect to see five years ago. We all know it could look a heck of a lot better.
FRANKLY: The game is cheap—coming in at twenty bucks—and a great game for kids.
