GAME STUDIO DESCRIPTION: MLB SlugFest: Loaded has the classic fast and furious gameplay that baseball fans want. All the beanballs, hard tags and over-the-top animations combine with all-new options and controls. You’ll feel the harder side of baseball — then go online and take the heat to a worldwide audience!
Watch as baserunners zoom past at turbo speed, player collisions shake the ballpark and scoreboards explode
Get your players “On Fire” for even more impossible moves and amazing gameplay. Players also get to control the camera angles — get the best view of those towering home runs, impressive diving catches and more.
Deep Franchise Mode lets you coach and manage like never before. Match up against other baseball fans any time, with the Online Tournament mode – face the stiffest competition from coast to coast. Special Ticker Tape feature track the ongoing MLB action between online players. Completely original soundtrack and outrageous commentary from Tim Kitzrow and Jim Shorts.
GRAPHICS: The player models are very good. The stadiums are fantastic, but the crowds are hilarious and look like cardboard cutouts.
CONTROLS: Simple is the easiest way to describe the controls—and that is great. The game will remind you of other Midway sports titles like NBA Jam. You have all new rules that mix baseball with wrestling. While running the bases you might be in for a surprise when you get a punch in the gut. Like NBA Jam you can get on fire and use special moves for pitching and hitting.
There are different modes that you can play from the regular game to home run derby or playing online. The franchise mode is deep and is set up like most baseball sims.
SOUND: To go along with the insane game play are the announcers Tim Kitzrow and Jimmy Shorts. They joke more than do play by play and are seriously limited.
FRANKLY: If you like baseball played the way it’s supposed to be then buy a sim. Slugfest is insane and if you have some friends around its more fun than it deserves to be.
