Look: The framerate is smooth—even when it isn’t–if that makes sense. It’s a gorgeous game with crisp graphics and wonderful color and tight textures. It was surprising to see such a good looking game.

Feel: The career mode is deep. You earn money, get sponsorships and move around through different teams. What makes it most interesting is how you can take on two different types of racing; mototrax and supercross. Supercross is indoors while mototrax is outdoors. There are many differences even though you might read this and wonder how and why it matters. First and foremost supercross has tighter corners and it really tests your reflexes. Like almost all motocross games there is a freestyle mode. You can work on your tricks and turns, etc to make yourself a better rider. Also there are freestyle contests that really test what you’ve learned.

The controls aren’t as tight as a game like ATV Fury. In Fury you can easily prep your suspension for better height on your jumps; here it doesn’t preload as well.

Hear: What motocross game have you ever played where the bikes didn’t sound like a swarm of bees? There is a big heavy metal soundtrack which didn’t turn me on… however it was high octane.

Frankly: ATV Fury is a good franchise; MTX Motorcross took a step right next to it.
