Empire Earth

Empire Earth
Game: Empire Earth
Platform: PC
Studio: Sierra
Rating: 8.5/10

Empire Earth is the sequel to Age Of Empires, which only offered you a slice of history. Empire Earth offers you the ability to go through all of history, from simple times all the way to robots shooting lasers.

Look: The 3D graphics are absolutely amazing. You can rotate and zoom into any area with damn good eye candy. Best of all is when you are at war you can see the fighting up close. It’s pretty impressive.

Feel: The ability to pop in and out of history is what drew so many to Age Of Empires. Empire Earth is quite close to its predecessor. But this game isn’t easy. It might almost be too hard. It takes a hell of a lot of time and energy to play this game, and that can be good or bad.

The game concept isn’t simple. You are a citizen, you produce more citizens, then homes, wealth, fighters, war, peace, conquer. It’s all there from our prehistoric beginnings until the year 2200.

Hear: Pretty good things to hear.

Frankly: The game has a lot to offer and that means hours lost of your life, did I say hours? I meant days and weeks. But honestly, the game might be too difficult for many. I found myself frustrated more than a few times.
