Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry
Game: Devil May Cry
Platform: Playstation 2
Studio: Capcom
Rating: 8.5/10

Look: A new level of look. The design of the cast is above and beyond the other games of its genre now out there. The monsters are wonderfully scary. I want to tell you how deep and rich the colors and scenes are, but there is really no game or anything to compare it to. The only true understanding can come from giving the game a run. Devil May Cry is as fun to look at as it is to play.

Feel: The first thing I liked about this game is that I don’t have to search around for ammunition. You never need any because you are filled to the gills with unending amounts of ammo. The reason this works is because the game doesn’t stop when your guns stop. Nothing is more annoying than needing to bounce around trying to find more ammo when you could be out killing something.

Speaking of killing, Devil May Cry is a game of levels. It’s about killing a boss so that you can get to the next level. It may be based on the oldest known way to build a game, but it’s not the same old game, there is no doubt about that.

Hear: The voice acting and soundscapes are average. I wasn’t impressed by the metal guitars.

Finally: All I can say is that Devil May Cry is one of the best games released for the PS2, and that is a solid seal of approval.
