Toya rolls out of St. Louis with her lungs full of enough lovely melodies to fill up a warehouse.
“No Matta What (Party All Night)” has the flavor to make the summer heat feel even stickier. “How Can I Be Down” feels familiar. “I Do!” seems to roll around in the monotonous and cliché. “What Else Can I Do” has some flair. “Book Of Love” is hot with a shout to the ladies.
Toya has vocal skills, but the further into the album you get, the shallower it gets. The album has fifteen tracks, but cutting many of them out could have saved the album. Still, for what the album offers, there is a lot to enjoy and a voice to admire.
