Perhaps the real king of pop is Lou Perlman. Guess what he’s just come out with. Yes, another boy band. It appears Perlman’s magic factory in Orlando has lost its glitter. Everything is coming out bland and soulless. Take 5 is no exception.
“Shake It Off” is nothing we haven’t heard before. Even more annoying are the vocal effects used on the group vocals. “Save The Best For Last” isn’t a twist on an old classic, though that may have worked out better. One nice track is “Perfect Sense”. Simple and sweet. “To Make You Love Me” may find its way onto radio.
In today’s super competitive world, Take 5 doesn’t have what it takes to compete with the big boy bands.
