CORPORATE LINE: This year, the members of Supergrass celebrate their 10th anniversary, and have announced the release of ‘Supergrass is 10″ The Best of 94-04’ on CD and DVD.
STANDOUT TRACKS:
“Caught By The Fuzz” – No one in America remembers them in 1994 so here is your chance to catch the fuzz the second time around.
“Pumping On Your Stereo” – Anyone remember the hilarious video for this song a few years back? A damn good song.
“Alright” – You may have heard this cheery bugger in a commercial or two.
“Moving” – “Just keep moving” gets you dancing but once the chorus hits you’ll be dancing all around the room.
“Grace” – “Save your money for the children.” Right on! Charity has never sounded so grand.
“Late In The Day New” – Grandiose and proves that Supergrass is more than a pop band with guitars and amplifiers.
FRANKLY: Who knew Supergrass were such hit machines? Listening to the records collectively it never comes to mind as there are so many hits and misses but as a whole you might be surprised just how super Supergrass are. Although their new single “Kiss of Life” has a Prince/Talking Heads vibe it’s new and odd change in direction. Supergrass is 10 we are glad they lasted this long.
