Throw in a little Collective Soul, well, maybe a lot of Collective Soul, and you can figure out relatively easily what Bliss 66 sound like.
“Paramount” isn’t as big as it pretends. It’s catchy but not close to being unforgettable. “Sooner Or Later” is more of the same. Bliss 66 strives for big hooks and suffers from little ones. It’s clear they want radio songs. Who wouldn’t if that means you could actually make a living doing what you love? The songs aren’t necessarily that strong.
Bliss 66 has a decent initial offering. It isn’t necessarily going to mark territory or shake up the music world though it may find fans in those who love rock, rock that isn’t in your face, isn’t offensive, the sort that just speaks to you. Bliss 66 isn’t what I’m into personally and reviews are all about the individual’s opinion. I’m impressed by someone who strains to come up with something unique, it doesn’t have to be revolutionary, just their own. Bliss 66 makes an offer, but we’ve heard the same thing a thousand times before.
