Sub.bionic are two guys from L.A. who make music that is somewhere between Coldplay and Kent.
What you need to hear:
“Last Song On Earth” – it’s quite simple, quite interesting and a few other things at that.
“Plum” – again a simple song that works in interesting ways.
A little hazy:
“Sub.bionic Radio” – promises to be great even though it’s just good.
“Quasi-dead” – something here grates on me even while it passes well through my system.
“God In Neutral” – it gets deep but without the climax.
You could live without these:
None in particular, although “Phonophobic” and “Blumonster” did nothing for me.
For real:
Sub.bionic starts off on a mad dash but goes on to crawl at a monotonous pace that could have been straightened out with a better mix.
