Samantha 7

Samantha 7 features C.C. Deville’s in his new role as lead vocalist, song maestro and of course, guitarist. Joined by Bassist Krys Baratto and drummer Francis Ruiz, the band has been together for nearly 18 months. C.C. spent the past four years writing the material on Samantha 7’s Portrait debut.

In between C.C. Deville’s highly-successful summer tour with Poison, his guest appearance on the Len record and “Feelin’ Alright” video, and his successful stint on VH-1’s “The List,” Samantha’s 7 went into the studio with Jack Blades, who produced the record.

C.C. Deville: “Originally I didn’t plan on singing. I was just trying to get a band together and every singer that was great wouldn’t play with me. So I had no choice but to sing it myself. I enjoy singing more than playing.”

The songs are fresh, young and ROCK–part Vaudeville and 100% C.C. Deville! From the tongue-in-cheek “I wanna Be Famous” to the moody “Slave Laura” and in-your “Framed,” the album clearly demonstrates C.C.’s pop-songwriting capabilities and talented band. Samantha 7 is cautiously optimistic music for the new millennium!
