Sounds like: R&B
Love it:
“Someone To Love You” -Powerful ballad.
“Will You Be Mine” – With vocals that sound pained and bruised they pull off a good ballad.
“You” and “Look To The Hills” – Although they have one too many ballads you can’t deny how good each is.
“You Mean The World To Me” and “Sure Thing” – They keep the good ballads flowing.
Like it:
“Bigger” – Not as tight as other ballads.
“Cash, Money, Cars, Clothes” – Materialism as its best?
“Would You Leave Me” – More materialistic questions.
Hate it:
“Kama Sutra” and “Shake It” – Trite.
“Wine And Dine” – Where did the Caribbean accent come from?
The only real problem with Someone To Love You is that the best tracks are all ballads, which can become a pretty monotonous listen. Other than the tender thoughts comes a bunch of materialistic, soulless tracks.
