Rah Digga is the only woman in the Busta Rhyme hype crew the Flip Mode Squad. Rah Digga goes hardcore from beginning to end.
The best thing about Dirty Harriet is that it doesn’t feature a bunch of guest artists who take time away from Rah Digga. Rah Digga has no problem boasting on “The Imperial” that “labels scared to death to let their artists rhyme with me/ cause you can send your thugest mc and watch me sun ’em”. Of course Busta shows up. He checks in on “Just For You” along with the Flipmode Squad who also show up during the “Intro”. “Tight” isn’t only a track title, but also describes everything to do with Rah Digga.
Rah Digga asks “Do The Ladies Run This” and I’m going to have to say that they just might. I know I wouldn’t argue with her, at least in person. “Straight Spittin’” is another ass kicker. The cleverest piece of this track is the sound of sneeze that makes up the beat. My favorite tracks are “Fuck Y’all” and “Lessons Of The Day”. “Fuck Y’all” is a lighthearted shout match between the sexes and who reigns supreme. On a deeper note, “Lessons Of The Day” is look at her life as a sister of three brothers.
Dirty Harriet sure doesn’t sound like a solo debut. Rah Digga’s vibe is boisterous, pompous, and still comes off fresh. When Rah Digga is involved you know you won’t get anything watered down with filler and disposable rhymes.
