Pretty Willie – Enter The Life Of Suella

Pretty Willie
Artist: Pretty Willie
Title: Enter The Life Of Suella
Label: Universal
Rating: 8.5/10

Artist: Pretty Willie
Sounds like: Nelly, St. Lunatics, and a little Bones-Thugs & Harmony

Pretty:
“Na Na” – Absolutely a Nelly rip-off but you can’t deny this hook.
“Cut The Chase” – another ridiculous hook that doesn’t leave your head.
“You Suella” – weak beats backed up however by a catchy theme.
“She Got A Man At Home” – almost a ballad, either way its tight.
“Thinking The Same Thing” and “Designer Love” – more R&B flavored and shows the range of Willie.
“Lil Piggy” – totally Nelly, totally hooky.
“Up Down” – another absolute sing-song.
“Hard Times” and “Some Things You Need To Know” – the first real, poignant tracks and they have a big emotional payoff.

Average:
“Roll Wit Me” – decent hook too bad it can’t hold up the first two tracks.
“High Speed”

Ugly:
There is a reason he’s called Pretty.

Pretty Willie has put out a fantastic record that cuts through genres and could make this man a superstar.
