Straight out of Sweden comes the rock group Prime Sth. Their release, Underneath The Surface, gives us tasty rock that goes down like pop.
The first two tracks that come off, “Underneath The Surface” and “I Don’t Envy You”, are quite typical of rock today. It’s rock that you couldn’t pick out of a lineup. “Believe” is too typical, but at least the message is clear and it’s good.
Around the eighth track we get a taste of the ballads. “My Evil Friend” is a precursor to the next slow ball and album’s best track, “She”.
Prime Sth is on average pretty average. It sucks being so critical, but if I can’t tell them from the band down the street, how are they going to convince me to drop my hard earned dollars on their album?
