Poole

Among Whom We Shine is Poole’s third full length album. Saturated with horns, lush vocal harmonies and driving guitars, the album brings to mind the best moments of Sugar, Elvis Costello and Matthew Sweet.

The album was produced by band members Harry Evans, (former band member of the Lilys), and William Campbell (formerly of the Throes and The Choir) at Poole Hall Recordings – Harry’s 16 track audio oasis. Among Whom We Shine features guest appearances by John Austin and Pall Masters.

Poole has been spending its time between albums working hard to develop and increase its fan and tour base. Specifically, since the release of Poole’s previous album, The Late Engagement, the band has been consistently touring and selling out shows in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.

Poole’s first two albums, six 7″ singles, 8 songs on compilation CDs, jingles for WHFS (one of the nation’s largest commercial alternative radio stations), musical appearances on MTV’s Road Rules, Singled Out, and The Real World, and a JFK Stadium appearance at the HFS-tival, have also increased their fan base.

Poole has toured with: Joan Jett, The Knack, Lotion, Apples In Stereo, Superdrag, and Soul Coughing among others.

Poole has also been actively using the internet to branch out to other parts of the country and maintain an intimate and personal relationship with its fan club of over 2,000 people.

Poole’s two founding members (brothers Harry and Harv Evans) have recently been joined by Bill Campbell and Dean Nitz on lead guitar and bass. These new members further augment Poole’s trademark vocal harmonies.
