Do you have rage? Papa Roach is here to get that fire out of your stomach and into your hands. With a mix of Rage Against The Machine and Silverchair, you’ll feel the power of Papa Roach. “Infest” doesn’t play around. They tear it up from the drop of the needle and never relent.
The next track, “Last Resort”, doesn’t get off to a spectacular beginning, then the chorus all but makes up for it. “Broken Home” gets stronger and the hook isn’t bad either. They actually touch upon some personal issues with parents and family and are certain to touch a nerve.
“Dead Cell” is a Rage Against The Machine ringer that brings massive guitars you’d expect from that band, but without a good hook. “Blood Brothers” is a great guitar track, and “Revenge” boasts a mean guitar riff bringing old school metal back.
Papa Roach has something up their sleeves. “Never Enough” combines Papa Roach’s heaviness, but with a more laid back melody. It’s great to see them throwing something different in there. That isn’t the only curve ball. “Binge” is out there and “Thrown Away” kicks you in the teeth with another taste of their power. “Thrown Away” goes on for almost ten minutes and even tosses in a funky bass line and a reggae groove for what is the best track on the album. Papa Roach proves they can get aggressive, but it’s their imaginations that make them exciting.
