Artist: My vitriol
From: London
Sound like: Accessible rock. It won’t disturb mom and might give dad back his kick.
Darn Good:
“Always Your Way” – A simple pleasure.
“The Gentle Art Of Choking” – Another sinfully good song.
“Cemented Shoes” – Falling has never been so much fun.
“Grounded” – Soars and does anything but get stuck in a rut.
“Infantile” – Verses are not as subtle as they sound.
“Ode To The Red Queen”
“Losing Touch” and “Falling Off The Floor” – Good changes of pace.
“Pieces” – Something we’ve all felt, and it’s here.
Fine:
“Window & Walls” – A little too heavy on the voice effects.
Poor:
“C.O.R.” (critic orientated rock) – Forty seconds of distorted screaming does not fit in around such ethereal tunes.
My Vitriol has put together a strong debut release. Finelines isn’t going to reach out and change music. It will however change any notion that there isn’t still good rock being made from the inside out.
