way. And All The Colors is a fabulous mix of ’60’s and ’70’s rock. Moore uses his Johnny Cash storytelling ability, advantageously adding the melodic skill of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

“Float Away” is passionate. I found myself singing along time and again. The prozac wears off and into “Room 229” I walk. Moore’s voice can transform from rock to soul in a snap. “Magdelena” is moving, and tearfully so. How do you follow up such sadness? With “Johnny Cash And His Electric Bible”. Not only does he pay tribute to Cash, but he also borrows from him on “Angelyne”.

Like a Soundgarden anthem, “Retablo” builds and builds. “Oceansize” is beautiful from the strings to the circus piano.

What is there to say about Ian Moore? The easiest way to sum up this album is to tell you that it will be your loss if you never give it a chance.
