From Charleston, South Carolina comes singer/songwriter Edwin McCain with his latest release, Far From Over.
“Hearts Fall” is heavy while “Far From Over” takes an easier approach. “Sun Will Rise” lifts you open as the first chords strike. Although there are great tunes like “Letter To My Mother”, I preferred the straight-up rock of “Get Out Of This Town”.
“Radio Star” is kind of quirky and fun, but it’s one you’ll only want to hear once. McCain is too talented to waste his time like that. “Jesus, He Loves Me” is tender and gives us real soul. Far From Over gives us a little of this or that, but not much more. If you enjoy your rock southern fried, then this is one for you.
