Charlotte Martin is set to release her highly anticipated RCA Records full-length debut ON YOUR SHORE August 10. Produced by Ken Andrews (Pete Yorn), ON YOUR SHORE “…at once recalls the banshee wails of Kate Bush and the radio-friendly melancholy of the Cure” (Paper Magazine). Combining introspective, emotionally complex lyrics, soaring vocals and lush piano Charlotte has created an intimate, achingly beautiful album that picks up where her 2003 EP IN PARENTHESES left off.

“Once in a while, a female, piano-driven singer/songwriter with a unique approach to pop music comes along and makes the world stand up and take notice,” said Billboard, also adding “Charlotte Martin could be the next such artist…” Described by Paper Magazine as a “ little bit opera and a little bit goth ‘n’
roll”, Charlotte was named by Teen People as one of their ten “Ones To Watch In 2004.”

Fresh off a club tour with Sondre Lerche, Charlotte Martin has announced her participation on the Maybelline New York “Chicks with Attitude” tour, headlined by Liz Phair. The 19-date tour, which also features The Cardigans and Katy Rose, kicks off in on August 4 in Chicago, IL and ends September 3 in Washington, DC. Indie rock pioneer Liz Phair handpicked Charlotte for the trek to accompany her into intimate venues across the country. This summer Charlotte will also be performing in a series of Clairol Natural Instincts “Find Your Balance” festivals in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

After crisscrossing the country with the likes of Howie Day and Damien Rice, she has cultivated her captivating live performance and gained a devoted following while setting the stage for ON YOUR SHORE and bigger things to come.
