Master P. – Game Face

Master P.
Artist: Master P.
Title: Game Face
Label: No Limit
Rating: 2/10

What is the difference between Master P. and MC Hammer? Hammer went from wack bubble-gum pop rapper to gangsta and Master P. went from gangsta to wack bubble-gum rapper.

Around 1996 Master P. was bringing up the No Limit army. He raised them rugged and brought music that touched a population who thought it lost its voice. Over the years, it seems P. has become a cliché. From the bounce songs to the booty calls, Gameface has shown its age.

Here come the Hammer comparison. What in the world is “Ooohhhwee”? It’s nonsense that would be a hit for Hammer or maybe even the Cash Money click, No Limit? Where the hell is their pride? “We Want Dough” is pathetic.

Master P. wants to sound poignant on “The Block”, which he sends out to the ghetto, but no one cares. It’s the same nonsense he told us five albums ago.

Gameface is shameless, pointless, and close to being as embarrassing as Ghetto Postage. Life is nothing but women and money to these guys, but seriously, how many more albums can No Limit release on the same subjects? Please stop buying these albums and maybe we can send them a message to get back to what made No Limit the enterprise they once were before they crumble like a week old muffin.
