M2M finds The Big Room a lot more open than the Shades Of Purple as they take their sound to a more mature and heavy level.
“Jennifer” springs to life a cute harmony about a girl that has it all while having nothing at all. “About Me” finally jumps out of the toil of the songs before it, not to say they can’t slow it down and still sound good. “Love Left For Me” and “Wanna Be Where You Are” work well. There is a sag for tracks like “Miss Popular” they say she knows what’s happening, I’d say she’d know this song isn’t it.
M2M saved their biggest surprises for last. “Leave Me Alone” and “Sometimes” actually sound Fleetwood Mac inspired. The first half of the album seems to stick to their roots while the latter shakes those lose leaves free. The Big Room can hold a lot and it sure has a good portion devoted to entertainment.
