Artist: U.P.O.
Title: No Pleasantries
Label: Epic
U.P.O. mixes together a potent concoction of metal and melody, including two parts Soundgarden, one part Stone Temple Pilots, and a pinch of Godsmack. “Circle Of Life” jumps out as a dutiful single. “Godless” wipes away the cobwebs. “Shame” finds the band rocking while the vocals run with the same annoying style.
What at first sounds fun ends bored and tired. I heard these songs a hundred times before U.P.O. ever put them on an album.
