Named after their favorite drink of vodka, cranberry, and cola, the New York-based modern rock five-piece UItra-V — stemming from former alternative rock project Ruth Ruth — composes a thick, derivative blend of trip-hop and thrash pop. Comprised of vocalist Chris Kennedy, guitarists Michael Kotch and Mike Lustig, bassist Maggie Kim, and drummer Christian Nakata, Ultra-V hooked-up with producer Chris Wallace (The Replacements, Faith No More) to release their debut, Bring on the Fuego, in fall 2000.
