After losing Raymond ‘Freaky Tah’ Rogers to a senseless murder, the Lost Boyz are back on the attack; shell-shocked, but still on top of their game.
Mr. Cheeks’ raspy rhymes steal the show on occasion, as always, even hidden under the theme. “Only Live Once” boasts a rhythmic flow and hooky chorus.
The craziest thing about the album is that it gets better as it gets closer to the end. “Plug Me In” gets you lit as “New York City Roll Call” gets your fists pumping. Then comes another anthem, “Can’t Hold Us Down”. “Ghetto Lifestyle” keeps things rolling and is the most poignant track on the album. Lost Boyz get down to the basics and give us a little taste of their reality. LB IV Life is more than their motto; it’s their way of life.
