The Atomic Fireballs

The Atomic Fireballs are an energetic eight piece jump blues band that hail from Detroit, MI. The band was formed less than two years ago by vocalist John Bunkley & trumpeter James Bostek. Blissfully unaware of the whole nouveau swing movement, a condition they blame on the sleepiness of hometown Detroit, the two musicians set out to make a band that would satisfy their cravings for a new blend of jazz, swing & jump blues. The band reports that their influences cover a broad spectrum, everything from Wynonie Harris to Louis Jordan to Black Flag. The Atomic Fireballs are currently in the studio recording their first album for Atlantic Records with producer Bruce Fairbairn (Chicago, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Cranberries).
