Kandi is a multitalented individual. She first came on the scene as a member of Xscape, then a songwriter (TLC “No Scrubs), and now she is breaking off for her first solo release, Hey Kandi.
Kandi’s voice is phenomenal, but it’s her ability to write and rock a hook that makes her one of a kind. “Hey Kandi” is yummy while “What I’m Gon’ Do To You” is precious. “Don’t Think I’m Not” is a hit waiting to happen.
Kandi mixes it up with songs of love found and lost. “Pants On Fire” finds her man cheating. The last treat from an already stacked album is her duet with Faith Evans, “Easier”. Kandi’s skill is apparent and her vocal styling is huge. Kandi is the whole package.
