Joydrop opens it up with the semi-catchy “Thick Skin” and they never quite pick up anymore momentum. “American Dreamgirl” squeals of an amateur operation. “Sometimes Wanna Die” is the pop track that may get them their fifteen minutes of fame, just not on the big stage.
After hearing “Life On The Sun” I felt like they might have something to offer, but after a few more songs I realized they want to spread their wings only far enough to trap a few listeners that don’t care for their other tracks. I will give some props to “Replaced”, because although it is seemingly off track, it’s the album’s best.
Joydrop doesn’t seem to know exactly who they are. I don’t know who they are, and whatever the case, after listening to Viberate I’m not sure I want to stick around to figure it out.
