Artist: Jars Of Clay
Sounds like: straight shooting pop rock.
Tight:
“I Need You” – first chance at redemption.
“Silence” – down, and in the pain and it shows.
Taut:
“Disappear” and “Something Beautiful” – very light rock that sounds almost wimpy.
“Revolution” – no revolution here.
“Fly” – this is getting really monotonous. The story behind the song is touchy, but the song doesn’t hold up its end.
Loose:
“Scarlet”
“Whatever She Wants”
Jars Of Clay have their appeal, but here on The Eleventh Hour it gets so monotonous after a while. The music has gotten better through the years and this album is perhaps sonically the best, but the lyrics are downright limp.
