The Incredible Moses Leroy – Electric Pocket Radio

The Incredible Moses Leroy
Artist: The Incredible Moses Leroy
Title: Electric Pocket Radio
Label: Ultimatum
Rating: 8.5/10

Moses Leroy really thinks a lot about himself considering he’s willing to name himself The Incredible Moses Leroy. I just hope he can back it up.

“Beep Beep Love” is really quite absurd. The verses rock, but the chorus is like putting on that tight leisure suit hidden deep with the skeletons in your closet and truly expecting to look cool. “Fuzzy” on the other hand is sinfully beautiful. “Anthem” isn’t entirely to its name, but it’s a sonic blast of pop-rocks.

After a few instrumental interludes, Leroy breaks out with the absolutely gorgeous “1983”. I’m feeling a bit impressed and maybe a little more happy to be alive. “It’s A Sunday” had my toes tapping while I listened intently trying to learn the lyrics so I could feel as happy as Leroy sounds. “Don’t Say To Me It’s Over” sounds like Paul McCartney from somewhere lost on the White Album, and that is a mouthful.

If it’s jazz, if it’s pop, if it’s silly, even if it’s not, you’ll find it on Electric Pocket Radio. Moses Leroy has a lot to offer, and right now I’m happy to know I got in on it before everyone else gets to claim him as their own.
