Artist: Indigo Girls
What you’ll hear: something closer to the way the Indigos used to be.
Now hear this:
“Moment Of Forgiveness” – completely tattered yowling with a nip of country and a dire voice that is begging for mercy.
“Hope Alone” – a gorgeous ballad that will get its fair share of play.
“Yield” – total and all-out honky-tonk stomp fest.
“Bitterroot” – is another stomper.
Hear it once:
“Deconstruction” – lovely, but tedious.
“Become You” – as the potent organ moves us along the song just seems to be too much.
“You’ve Got To Show” – interesting, nice harmonies, but anticlimactic.
“Bitterroot” – is another stomper but without the great melodic track.
Just skip it:
Nothing hear will find you skipping your way through.
Indigo Girls have gone back to the basics and will be a welcome back.
