Artist: Injected
Title: Burn It Black
Label: Island
Injected has one good thing going for them, they brought in the songsmith Butch Walker of the Marvelous 3 to produce. However aside from the heavier riffs of “Faithless” you can tell it’s from the school of M3.
“Burn It Black” is back to basic rock. “Sherman” and “Used Up” come well equipped with old school metal hooks. Kiss is an obvious influence as you listen to “Lights Are Low”.
“Bullet” doesn’t burn with all the same vigor, but it still bites. There are a few tracks that weigh the album down like “Only Hurts Awhile” and “1 4 5”.
