Inspectah Deck – The Movement

Inspectah Deck
Artist: Inspectah Deck
Title: The Movement
Label: Koch
Rating: 6/10

Corporate Line: Unlike Inspectah Deck’s previous work with the Clan, The Movement allows the versatile MC to truly flex his skills. When you’re doing a Wu-Tang Album there’s so many creative minds clashing that sometimes the best thought may not get acknowledged,” relays Deck. “With my album, I’m behind the wheel of my own car. It’s much easier for me to see where I’m going when I’m in control rather than having somebody else steering your life or your career for you.”

The Good:
“City High” – Deck is still hustling and hitting the ground running.
“The Movement” and “It’s Like That” – All the ingredients are here, great hook, hot verses and a beat that goes on and on.
“Framed” – Kool G Rap and Killa Sin add flavor to an already tasty morsel.

The Average:
“Vendetta” – Hot hook. Monotonous verses.
“That Ni**a” – Head bobber.
“Get Right” – Going old school.
“That Sh*t” – Hot beat and verses too bad it’s ruined by a weaker than usual chorus.

The Bad:
Nada.

Frankly: Inspectah Deck proves he can make it on his own with out the Wu. The Movement shows that the beat goes on.
