Company Line: Ronald Isley: “We set out to make an album that would not only be a milestone for The Isley Brothers, but for the entire music community. We wanted this to be the kind of record people look to for inspiration. That’s what The Isley Brothers have always strived for.”
The Good:
“Superstar” – New school with old school charm.
“What Would You Do” – The Isley Brothers show you only get better with age.
“Take A Ride” – A lovely ballad that gets better with each listen.
“I Like” – I like it too. Great hook. Timeless track.
The Marginal:
“Lucky Charm” and “Body Kiss” – Close to being really good but lacks tighter lyrics and a sweeter hook.
“Busted” – Monotonous.
“Keep It Flowin’” – It’s flowing, but not like a river. It’s more like a babbling brook.
The Bad:
Nothing really.
Frankly: The Isley Brothers still have it.
